Composting & Worm Farming Made Easy!
Wednesday 22 August, 2012
Manly Library Ground Floor Meeting Room
Come along and learn how easy it is to recycle your food and garden scraps by composting or worm-farming! As 45% of the waste in our household garbage bins consists of food scraps- and food scraps in landfill create greenhouse gases and toxic leachate – composting or worm-farming is an easy way to make a big difference to our impact on the environment.
We’ll also talk about the importance of avoiding the food waste in the first place through learning about the Love Food Hate Waste program.
As an extra bonus participants who live in the Manly local government area will receive a free compost bin or worm farm! Bookings essential.
